Riddles of the Heart... PDF Print E-mail

It comes when not needed,
And flees when it is,
Makes a grand entrance,
Then leaves with a kiss,
It starts off simple,
Then quickly unfolds,
It's the worst thing to happen,
To some, I've been told.
It can be either the wind,
That allows you to soar,
Or the hunger inside you,
That begs you for more,
The light of your life,
Or darkness of death,
But nevertheless,
You won't soon forget,
It flies like a butterfly,
And stings like a shot,
Leaves when you beckon it,
Comes when said to stop,
Of course by now you're wondering,
Just what I'm speaking of,
And mournfully I answer:
The monster we call love.

 Where are you?

I sit  here and count the ticks of the clock as time goes by. Another twenty minutes late, I start to cry. Constantly waiting, wandering why? What did I do 58...59...60,Where are you? I remember when we did nothing but veg. and play x-box. What happened, when did time become of the essence? You promised me together forever. So much for my happy ever after. I lay atop the freshly overturned earth and stare at the heavenly sky.Wandering what did I do? 58...59...60...where are you?

Untitled.

If see the same things everyday

Will they still take my breath away?

If I were to live a thousand lives,

Would it make a difference if something died?

If I see a sunset perfect in color

Would I want to see another?

If I burn out like a flare in the night,

Would I regret not seeing the beautiful sights?

Green grass in twilight, moon light reflecting the dew,

But parallax gazer who doesn't view.

Each star stays the same until one day,

The glow of the star fades away.

One glow among many, who really cares,

Whether or not one start isn't there?

I'll miss you star and when your glow is gone,

I'll ask the moon to shine in your place until dawn.

In my eyes.

You don't know how I'm feeling.
I have yet to vocalize
Desire deep inside me.
Can you see it in my eyes?

I tremble when I think of you
thoughts I dare not write.
and I need you with an urgency
That I just can't describe.

Dare I reach out to touch you?
Do you think you'd realize
How much I want and need you?
Can you see it in my eyes?

I long to say, "I love you,"
But am scared of your reply.
Terrified like a child
I've become paralyzed.

The camouflaged emotions
Lead to pain and silent cries.
And yet I just can't tell you.
Don't you see it in my eyes?

Confessing through this poem
My dilemma summarized.
The feeling's quite lethargic,
But will lead to my demise

Untitled
Figures intertwined with night,
Like the swaying stride of northern lights.
Down in the valley where horizons lay new,
One sin closer to Heaven, three steps past the moon.
Dances of fireflies gracing the sky,
As the stars still stand silent, angels bear witness from on there pedestals up High.
Wishing stars prancing across destiny's eyes,
Till the brilliance of galaxies melt from the skies.
Eclipse of the moon, eclipse of the sun,
Their flames mingled in shadow as two becomes one.
